As part of our mission to create 10 million dollar a year in revenue tech startups in Portland by October 2010, Portland Ten is now accepting applications for our summer session, which runs June 8- August 30, 2009.

About Portland Ten

Portland Ten is a 12-week intensive bootcamp for tech founders. We also support local initiatives that strengthen the early stage and seed funding communities in Portland, Oregon.

We work with entrepreneurs to clarify and align their concept, and strengthen their ability to commercialize and manage a project at the $1MM or more level. We provide brutally honest 3rd party perspective and accountability both in peer and 1-on-1 mentoring settings.

Founders increase their ability to plan and execute milestones, and internalize and apply best practices from venture capital, bootstrapping, and project management methodologies.

Learn more about the program here, read about our staff, Round 1 founders, or view project updates via Twitter or our blog.

Interview Process

Candidates are selected based on an assessment of the entrepreneur’s ability and commitment to manage a $1MM project in the next 18 months, the current status of the project, and the concept’s overall market viability.

We invite up to 10 founders at a time to engage in the program on a full-time basis, and make curriculum and activities open to the larger startup community as possible throughout the course of the program.

Local founders are invited to apply by submitting an application at http://www.portlandten.com/apply. Candidates will be invited to interview with a staff member, with applicants selected and notified on a rolling basis through June 1. Final deadline to apply is May 22.
