We recently launched Startup Workouts, an open enrollment, drop-in series of 75-minute workout-style problem-solving sessions for Portland founders.
The format of the workouts is:
Warmup: 5 minutes to define your specific questions/situations/problems in this topic.
Ten Tips: basic guiding principles of the topic, which you can use to address your situation.
How-To: Quick overview on the topic as a macro concept via visual mapping– what it is, and why it matters in the grand scheme of things. Specific sets of tasks/action items you can do to develop this skill or solve a problem in this area.
Peer Council: Open floor for the other founders/geeks to share from their experience what works/what doesn’t.
Cooldown: revisit the questions/situations/problems you brought with you. Define tasks you need to accomplish to move forward, what date will you accomplish them by, and who you will check in with to be accountable in making progress.

Today’s workout is on Extreme Bootstrapping– here’s the "How To" and "Ten Tips" component of what we’ll be working on. If you’re in Portland, stop by NedSpace at 10 am, or join us for the next one.
